What type of strings do you recommend for slapping?

It all depends on the sound & feel you're going after. Most slap bass players tend to like a bright tone with a sensitive touch. Lighter-gauge strings are usually better for this. New strings also make all-the-difference-in-the-world if you want a crisp, cutting sound. I like the Ernie Ball pinks for general slap bass fun.
